Synchronize BMC FootPrints Service Core Schema with Database Schema

This synchronization utility ensures that the BMC FootPrints Service Core schema and the underlying database schema are synchronized. The most likely scenario is for them to cease to be synchronized after migrating BMC FootPrints Service Core to a new server.  This might cause an Error 203 to be displayed, with an indication that a field is missing.  When the utility is run, it compares the BMC FootPrints Service Core schema with the database schema.  If there are columns in the BMC FootPrints Service Core schema that are not reflected in the database schema, it adds those columns.  It does not remove anything from the database or from BMC FootPrints Service Core and you cannot cause any harm by running the utility.  Nevertheless, it is recommended that you check with BMC Support before running this utility.

To use the utility:

  1. Select Administration | System | Workspaces.
  2. From the Workspace Management page, scroll down to the Synchronize BMC FootPrints Service CoreSchema with Database Schema  section.
  3. Select the workspace you want to synchronize from the drop-down field.
  4. Click the GO button.
